Just a Little Beauty Blogger Rant!

As a blogger I am often approached by companies who wish for me to try their products for input, reviews etc. Recently I was approached by a gentleman who wanted me to try a new line. As always I responded saying I am always willing to try new products on the market. He told me that all I had to do was register my information online and watch a video about the product. Upon taking a look at the website he sent me to I realized it was a direct sales company and registering my info meant becoming part of the company!

I am not sure if I am impressed with this individuals initiative or really upset to be mislead by this person asking for my help in getting the word out on this new line while really trying to get me to be a part of a multi level marketing deal. Either way I now have a bad taste in my mouth and will not try this line once it launches for sure. I really appreciate an honest approach and totally feel that this is not the way to get the support of people in the beauty industry!

Wow, that's ridiculous! Sorry you ran into something like that. What made him think you'd smile and go along with this????

The same keeps happening to me! The first time, I answered that I was interested but after realizing it meant being part of the company, I told them I couldn't make it. But I keep receiving emails from the same man (Bernard) in my junk mail. Annoying, and so unprofesional!

@ G A B Y- hahaha it is the same guy! I guess he doesn't realize that he has the wrong approach. I don't like then it is more about signing someone else up then about the product. He could reach so many people if he went about things in the right way! Oh well, good to know I am not alone!
